Introduction to PACE for Carers

January 17, 2023, 7:00 pm

Scottish Attachment in Action invites adoptive parents, foster carers and kinship carers to an introduction to the PACE approach to parenting developed by Dr Dan Hughes.

This brief introduction will offer creative ways to support children that have experienced developmental trauma. PACE is a way of thinking, feeling, communicating and behaving that aims to make the child feel safe and increase connection.

What will you take away?

  1. An increased awareness of PACE

  1. Ideas to assist your child with their distress

  1. Practical strategies to support connection

The session will be facilitated by Claire Slocombe, Attachment Lead and adoptive mum and Lesley Bell, therapeutic social worker
