Scottish Attachment in Action appoints Director

Scottish Attachment in Action recently announced the appointment of its new director as it aims to promote positive and healthy attachments in Scotland.

Wendy McAuslan will join the team of Scottish Attachment in Action (SAIA), who have welcomed her as an “exceptional leader and advocate” who is dedicated to making a difference in people’s lives.

Wendy will be responsible for guiding SAIA’s strategic direction, strengthening partnerships with one of her primary goals being to enhance our engagement with key stakeholders, including policymakers, educators, and healthcare professionals.

By fostering strong relationships and facilitating dialogue, Wendy will ensure that SAIA’s expertise and resources are widely accessible, leading to greater awareness and understanding of attachment-related issues.

With a passion for supporting vulnerable individuals and a wealth of experience, Wendy brings a unique set of skills and insights that will propel SAIA forward in our efforts to create a more nurturing and resilient society.

In a statement, Alison McDonald, chair of SAIA: “At SAIA, we firmly believe that everyone has a role to play in supporting healthy attachments and Wendy’s passion for collaboration and her ability to inspire others will undoubtedly strengthen our network of dedicated professionals, volunteers, and supporters.

“Together, we will continue to champion the transformative power of secure attachments, empowering individuals, and communities to thrive.

“On behalf of the entire SAIA team, we extend our warmest welcome. We are excited to embark on this new chapter, confident in Wendy’s ability to lead us towards even greater impact and positive change.

“With our new team now in place we are poised to achieve new heights in our goal towards building a more compassionate and responsive society that values the importance of secure attachments.”
